Sean Kimiagar
Sean joined Efficient Markets in January 2025 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Marketing, bringing 12 years of experience across E&P, oilfield services, SaaS, and investment banking.
Sean began his career at Halliburton as a technical specialist in business development before becoming Director of Business Development for the Middle East at a US-UK firm. There, he established a regional office, built key industry relationships, and secured customers from private sector and national oil companies. He later transitioned into investment banking, where he played a key role in closing over $2 billion in transactions. Most recently, as a Principal Consultant and Senior Associate at Enverus, he helped execute two acquisitions across the U.S. and Europe, led due diligence on potential deals, managed industry partnerships, and led various market analysis initiatives.
Sean holds a BS in Petroleum Geosciences Engineering from the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi, an MS in Petroleum Geology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an MBA with a focus on Energy Finance from Texas A&M University. He serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Texas A&M’s Mays Business School and is a member of AAPG, SPE, and HPF. Passionate about public speaking; he frequently moderates panels and presents at oil and gas conferences. A dedicated soccer fan, he closely follows Manchester United and the Premier League.
